Emmanuel Chinyamakobvu is working as Programme Officer of the Africa Facilitation Unit at the United Nations Secretariat of the Convention to Combat Desertification in Bonn. His responsibilities are mainly the facilitation of the implementation of the UNCCD Convention by country parties of Eastern and Southern Africa as well as by their respective sub- regional institutions of IGAD and SADC.
