Colson, Dr. Darrel D.

Darrel Colson is president of Wartburg College, Iowa, USA. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance; on the Presidents’ Council of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Association; and on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. He served as Provost at Centenary College of Louisiana and as Fletcher Jones Chair of Great Books at Pepperdine University in California. He earned a BA at Louisiana State University (1977), then an MA (1982) and a Ph.D. (1987) in philosophy at Vanderbilt University. Colson has published research on Plato, Aristotle, Galileo, and Kant.
