DW Crime Fighters Serienmotiv „A disappearance in Pyto“

At 21, Tayo Shegun is taking on a major challenge for her first job: She is in charge of reforming charcoal production in her native town of Pyto, a major center of charcoal production in the country. The government has introduced new directives to make the sector less damaging to the environment and more transparent in order to limit traffic and smuggling — especially with Europe. But the majority of Pyto's charcoal workers are opposed to these changes and consider Tayo a traitor — especially as she herself comes from a family who works in the charcoal business. Things suddenly take a turn for the worse when her uncle Felix, the chairman of the Association of Charcoal Burners, disappears. He is suspected of having stolen all the charcoal from the town, which was being stored by Tayo's agency. Candice, the forest ranger and Jerome, the local councilor for environmental affairs, promise to get to the bottom of it. Is Felix really the charcoal thief?
