Cyber Attacks: Industrial espionage via the internet

Industrial espionage via the web is becoming more of a threat. The number of attacks on German companies has doubled since 2010. A fifth of all entrepreneurs in Germany have been victims of cyber espionage.

The problem: attacks via the internet often remain undetected. Not until the copied product goes onto the market does a company realize it's been spied on. Most of the attacks are made via unprotected software. Experts advise more caution on business trips abroad and better protection of company networks.
