Disruption of oil pipeline in Georgia - je 12.08.2008 08

As we've been hearing in the news, fighting has been raging these last few days in and around the Georgian breakaway region of South Ossetia. The conflict between Georgia and its neighbour Russia threatens to disrupt output at one of the world's major oil pipelines. The BTC pipeline links vital oil fields from Central Asia to the Mediterranean. And it runs right through Georgia. Oil giant BP says so far, fighting has not damaged the pipeline.
