Moreover, the inhabitants have very little energy. Over the past few months, food prices at certain village markets have doubled. Many farmers have been forced to sell off their last animals to buy millet or corn. Over 10 million people lack water. The ongoing political unrest makes it unlikely that there will be an improvement in the situation.
