Episode 8: Negotiations

In part 8, Amir awaits the court hearing that is to decide the outcome of his application for asylum. His guardian Albert travels to Togo to gather evidence corroborating Amir's story. Rashin and her husband Thomas return to Berlin from Iran and face an uncertain future plagued by financial hardship. Florina, too, is facing what she sees as a dismal prospect. As hopes for a long-term residence permit for Germany begin to fade, she may well be forced to return to Mexico.
