Is journalism still the fourth pillar of democracy across Europe? With some countries increasingly embracing populist and nationalist policies, the media landscape is suffering. In Eastern Europe in particular, media freedom is being eroded at the expense of democratic discourse as journalists and media professionals are being forced to toe the line of government propaganda.
