Euro Exchange Reflects Election Uncertainty

The euro-dollar exchange rate dipped slightly after the results of the German election began filing in. Registered at under $1.22, the common European currency was lower on Sunday evening than it had been when it closed in New York on Friday at $1.2234. Currency market observers attribute the slight change to speculation on the international exchange circuit that a new government under CDU and FDP would have paved the way for more radical economic reforms in Europe's biggest economy.
