Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee
Britain's Queen Elizabeth the Second has celebrated her Diamond Jubilee to mark 60 years on the throne. Hundreds of thousands of people turned out in London alone to take part in four days of festivities.


Stadium Architecture
The Euro 2012 football championship has kicked off in co-hosts Poland and Ukraine. Many of the matches are being played in stadiums specially built for the event. But the architects commissioned for the projects also sought to create lasting landmarks that will continue to be attractive venues long after the tournament is over.


Beach Artist
Sam Dougados is world renowned for his beach art. He does it by using a rake on sand to create his images. His art has taken him around the world, and won numerous awards. Because of the tide his works don’t last very long, so Dougados also takes photographs.


Berlin Taste Festival
The Berlin Taste Festival is a celebration of all things edible that allows visitors to experience a multitude of food happenings - from pop-up restaurants to performance food and eat art spectacles. We check out painting by food, molecular cuisine, and insect food.


Toy Story
Selim Varol is a passionate collector of toys, who’s donated thousands of items to the Berlin exhibition Art and Toys. With some 15,000 figurines, he can boast one of the largest collections in Europe. It all started as a child, after his mother threw away his Star Wars collection. He set out to replace it, and hasn’t stopped since.
