Highlining in Frankfurt

Reinhard Kleindl has walked across a wire 185 meters off the ground in the German city of Frankfurt. The event was part of the 2013 Frankfurt Skyscraper festival.

At the 55th Art Biennale in Venice many of the palazzi host shows and events. The Palazzo Bembo is the venue for the exhibition "Personal Structures" - a presentation of works by 78 artists from all over the world who deal with the universal issues of time, space and existence in their very iwb different ways. As final preparations were underway, Euromaxx had a look around.

Boating on the Baltic

The north-eastern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is home to one of the largest pristine river landscapes in Western Europe at the Peene Valley. Here vacationers can canoe for days on their way to the Baltic Sea, passing by former Viking settlements and charming Hanseatic towns such as Anklam.

More than a century has passed since a young Pablo Picasso walked the narrow streets of Barcelona's old town. The Museu Picasso is showing more than 80 self-portraits of the artist - the most comprehensive exhibition on the theme to date. Euromaxx checks out the exhibition, and tours the city where Picasso continues to inspire new generations of artists.

The 27-year-old Norwegian saxophonist Marius Neset is viewed as one of the European jazz scene's hottest new talents. As the 60th Bergen International Festival kicks off, he shows us around his hometown and introduces us to some of the big names headlining the event.
