Former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn, who's awaiting trial in Japan on charges of financial misconduct, has arrived in Beirut. He apparently jumped bail on a private plane. Ghosn said in a statement he was not fleeing justice but instead seeking to avoid injustice and persecution.
