Expensive Equines - Bad-Sooden-Allendorf Taxes Horse Riders

Bad Sooden-Allendorf in Hessen is the first town in Germany to implement a horse tax. It's done so to put badly needed revenue into the public coffers. Other towns are now debating whether to follow suit. However the equestrian lobby is campaigning against such plans. Over a million Germans ride horses for pleasure.
