A recent Associate Press poll shows support for the bail out at just 30 per cent - with 45 per cent of Americans opposed to the legislation - the rest being undecided. Millions of Americans - already angry at seeing their home values plummet and their pensions shrink - want to see government help not for Wall Street but for Main Street. The White House says the bail out will help free up credit - but analysts say there's no guarentee that will be the case.
