Authorities in the German capital say the fire that damaged the world famous Berlin Philharmonic apparently broke out during repair work. The building is home to the city's Philharmonic Orchestra led by Sir Simon Rattle, who was in France at the time of the blaze. The Philharmonic was designed by Hans Scharoun - and since 1963 has been one of Berlin's cultural landmarks.
