The European Court of Human Rights has slammed Italy over its treatment of migrants from North Africa. The court ruled that Rome's decision to send fleeing refugees and migrants back to Libya was a violation of fundamental human rights. Last year, fifteen-hundred people died trying to reach Italy by crossing the Mediterranean.
