Loeb wins
August 22, 2010Sebastien Loeb of France has won the ADAC Rally Deutschland in Trier, extending his lead overall in the World Rally Championship to 58 points ahead of the rest of the field.
36-year-old Loeb led the rally from the start and completed the nineteen stages 51.3 seconds ahead of his next rival, Spanish driver Dani Sordo.
Citroen junior team driver Sebastien Ogier, another Frenchman, was third, completing a sweep of the top three places for Citroen cars.
"It is a rally where we have always enjoyed success," said Loeb. "I was very comfortable with the car, everything worked well and so another one in Germany. It's brilliant."
"I think I had a perfect race," he added.
The German event is the ninth stop on the 13-race World Rally Championship circuit. Loeb has six world champion titles under his belt.
The next rally will be held in Japan in September.
