World leaders meeting in Washington have pledged to deliver an action plan to deal with recession and prevent future financial meltdowns. Heads of government of the so-called G-20 countries and their finance ministers are meeting for five hours of talks on Saturday. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been calling for more regulation long before the present crisis - she is now pressing for an overhaul of the systems that governn the markets.
