German carmaker Daimler is to answer charges of bribery in a US court today

Welcome back... After years of investigations by American authorities, German carmaker Daimler is to answer charges of bribery in a US court today. The maker of Mercedes cars faces allegations that it paid tens of millions of dollars in bribes to secure business contracts overseas. Reports say Daimler has agreed to pay 185-Mmillion dollars to resolve the long-running US probe. But Daimler is one of a number of major German corporations to be hit recently by a corruption scandal.
