German Defense Minister doesn't rule out sending more troops to Afghanistan

German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer isn't ruling out the possibility of sending more troops to Afghanistan if the security situation worsens drastically. She told DW that the current mandate ceiling of 1,300 soldiers should be sufficient for the next few months. Should the security situation deteriorate further, "we would have to talk about a completely new mandate."
