German Industry’s Concerned about Access to Raw Materials

Demand for raw materials is soaring in the industrialized world - especially for the rare-earth minerals. They are vital to high-tech products, and China enjoys a virtual monopoly on them. German commodity dealers are tapping their good contacts with Chinese suppliers. Recycling is another potential source for these highly sought-after metals.
