German Tsunami Death Toll at 107

The German death toll from the Indian Ocean tsunamis rose to 107 on Friday but is likely to increase further as more bodies are identified through DNA tests, the government said. The Germans who died were tourists on winter sun breaks in beach resorts in Sri Lanka and Thailand. Foreign ministry spokesman Walter Lindner said 502 Germans were still missing two months after the disaster which killed at least 290,000 people.
