One of the world's most controversial energy projects is nearing completion. From 2019, the Nord Stream 2 pipeline will deliver natural gas from Russia via the Baltic Sea directly to Germany. The project divides Europe because it completely bypasses Ukraine. Kyiv fears Russia will no longer use pipes that go through Ukraine.
