The club's fans can take comfort in the fact that Hanover has recovered from a horrible start, which saw Dieter Hecking replacing Peter Neururer as coach after only three games.
The bad news is that Hanover haven't made any progress over preceding years and remain one of the league's least inspiring teams. They didn't make any major moves during the winter break so there's little reason to think that they'll be anything more than average when the weather gets warmer.
They do have a chance to win a title and qualify for international competition, though, as they're still alive in the German Cup. Expect them to end up, as always, in the middle of the table.
