After winning their respective quarterfinals, Hertha Berlin and Bayern Munich were drawn against Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen respectively in the semifinals of the German Cup.

Pep Guardiola's side will undoubtedly be happy to have a home game against what many perceive to be the weakest side remaining in the competition. The Bavarian side have scored 31 in their last seven games against the northern side and will be strong favourites for the match.

Dortmund have of course only recently returned from a trip to the capital to face Hertha, where both sides parted on a 0-0 draw in matchday 20 Bundesliga clash. Thomas Tuchel's side have won five of their last ten away trips against Hertha, drawing three and losing just two.

However, Hertha fans have to go as far back as 1979 for their last chance at the cup when they lost to Fortuna Dusseldorf. The club's reserve side reached the final in 1993 but the club has never lifted the famous trophy.

Werder Bremen fans will be dreaming of a return to winning ways having reached the German Cup final in 2009 and 2010. Werder beat Bayer Leverkusen in the final in 2009 before losing to Bayern in the following year's final.

The two games will be played between April 19 and 20.
