Inside Europe: Brexit and the Irish border roadblock

One of the main roadblocks in Brexit negotiations is the border between Northern Ireland, a UK territory, and the Republic of Ireland, an EU member state. Both sides want to avoid a hard border on what would be the only land frontier between the UK and the EU. But finding a solution acceptable to everyone has so far proved impossible.
