Slovenians have been distilling juniper berries for hundreds of years. But it doesn't have much of a tradition of making gin, which uses juniper as one of its main ingredients. That's now starting to change. Small craft gin distilleries have sprung up and over the summer, Ljubljana hosted its first-ever festival dedicated to the spirit. Guy De Launey bravely volunteered to investigate further.
