International Water Forum in Instanbul: No action plan despite urgent water problem

For most people in developed countries, access to clean drinking water is the most normal thing in the world. All we need to do is open the tab or put on the washing machine for example. It's easy to forget that in many regions, drinking water is a luxury only a few can afford. Almost a billion people around the world lack clean drinking water, which some say should be a human right. At the International Water Forum in Instanbul, the United Nations has been discussing how to change that.
