Internet Cafes Get Age Limit

Germans may soon have to prove that they are 18 or older if they want to use an Internet café. The Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig has ruled that Internet cafes that promote the use of their computers for the purpose of playing games are no different to game arcades, which, according to German law, pay higher taxes and have entry restrictions. The case which led to the verdict was brought by a trade supervisory board in Berlin against an Internet café it said was unlawfully operating a gaming hall.
