We spoke with the General Manager of the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany, Andreas Povel. He told us his members see the NSA spy scandal as more of a political problem that hasn't eroded transatlantic commercial ties. He wants EU-US free trade talks to continue irrespective of surveillance issues. And Mr. Povel is sure the US will become a net exporter as a result of its cheap energy.
