Even as the US economy slides into recession, impacting growth in other big economies, there are plenty of opportunities for companies to sell their goods in dynamic markets. The Japanese economy, for example, has started to slow, but Japanese consumers continue to spend. In particular, purveyors of luxury items like Chanel and Cartier are doing well. And strong product brands like Adidas, BMW and Porsche have seen sales surge 15 percent.
