Inuit throat singing

In the past, Canada’s colonial policy of assimilation left Inuit people traumatized and nearly eradicated their culture, including the traditional throat singing. However, a younger generation of Inuit people are reclaiming the heritage denied to their parents. Sian Griffiths met with Lynda Brown who learned how to throat sing as an adult and is now sharing her knowledge with her children.
