According to reports released on Wednesday night, Spacey is being cut from Ridley Scott's already completed thriller, "All the Money in the World," just a month before its planned release in December.

According to insider sources which had to stay anonymous, Canadian actor Christopher Plummer was cast to re-shoot scenes in the role of the billionaire J. Paul Getty. The film tells the story of the 1973 abduction of Getty's grandson, John Paul Getty III.

Kevin Spacey's fall

Last week, American entertainment company Netflix announced it was severing ties with the actor and canceled the widely popular series "House of Cards," in which Spacey portrayed the protagonist and acted as one of the producers.

But it seems to have been just the beginning of the fall of one of the most popular Hollywood actors after actor Anthony Rapp alleged that Spacey, while appearing drunk, made sexual advances towards him in 1986, when Rapp was 14.

Spacey de facto confirmed the accusation and came out as gayin a controversial Tweet shortly after.

Entertainment website Deadline.com reported that the decision to cut Spacey out of the film came from Scott and producers Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas. Actors Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams, who also star in the movie, are expected to be on the set to appear in the re-shot scenes.

After Rapp went public, actor Roberto Cavazos and Richard Dreyfuss' son Harry also accused Spacey of misconduct.

Furthermore, journalist Heather Unruh said Wednesday that Spacey had sexually assaulted her then 18-year-old son in a Nantucket restaurant last year.

The film "All the Money in the World" is still set to hit theaters on December 22.
