Minimalist beats and German lyrics, handmade outfits and eccentric choreography are all Laing trademarks. The all-girl band’s first success is "Morgens immer müde", a cover of the 1960 hit by Trude Herr. Laing’s version is also popular with the Goethe Institute in the US, which uses the song in its German classes.
