Learning at the Khan Academy

Free education for everyone around the globe! That's the idea behind the Khan Academy. Set up by American Salman Khan five years ago, the online-education website now boasts close to a million users.

Its founder Salman Khan was a hedge fund analyst when he created the Academy. It now boasts 4000 educational videos which have been called up over 250-million times. Khan first began producing videos to tutor his younger cousins in mathematics. He posted them on YouTube, where they quickly gained a following far beyond his immediate family.
