Lindsey Graham is one of the US' leading foreign-policy legislators. For years, he has stood in the shadow of John McCain, who once jokingly referred to Graham as his "illegitimate son." Graham, a conservative Republican, has demanded that the US do more to fight the "Islamic State." He has rejected easing sanctions on Iran in exchange for concessions on the country's nuclear program and is among the 47 signatories of a letter of protest against the agreement.
