Chipping away at Carrara's marble mountain

In Tuscany lies a town that, for millennia, has been known for its brilliant white marble – used by sculptors and architects. But it's actually consumer items made from this marble that are depleting it fastest – and they're some pretty unsuspecting products. The marble extraction is leading to environmental problems and many locals aren't happy about it.
