Ticks and Lyme disease creep north

Black-legged ticks used to be virtually unknown in Canada, but that's no longer the case. As their population spreads north, so does the threat of Lyme disease. A notoriously difficult disease to diagnose, Lyme disease is carried by an insect that can be as small as a poppy seed.
