The financial crisis has meant that wealthy nations have had to provide billions of euros in emergency aid, while poorer ones have had to institute harsh austerity programs. Nonetheless, the super-rich are still apparently able to hide their money from tax authorities, as the recent revelations about a massive international tax-evasion network have just shown.
