Max Ernst retrospective in Tinguely Museum in Basel - euromaxx, 19.10.2007

Michael BärOctober 20, 2007

The German artist Max Ernst was one of the great surrealist painters of the 20th century. His work was often provocative as he forever wanted to question artistic values with his experiments and techniques. 150 of his paintings are currently on display in a retrospective in the Tinguely Museum in Basel, Switzerland. Over the years some parts of his pictures have disintegrated but now they are being restored on site in the museum.
