New web design to celebrate golden jubilee

A special page for the golden jubilee invites you to browse through photos, see how our global partners are saying "Happy Birthday", and lets our colleagues show you "their" DW Akademie. See how we began as the Deutsche Welle Training Center in 1965 to later become the Radio Training Center (DW RTC) and the Television Training Center (DW TTC), to become what we are today, DW Akademie. These impressions and memories from over 50 years illustrate how our projects have evolved and expanded over the past five decades.

Much has happened content-wise as well. The regional web pages now offer even more comprehensive information about DW Akademie's projects and activities in its partner countries. Also new is the section #mediadev, a platform to support media development, digital transformation and freedom of expression. "The new section gives us the opportunity to share the knowledge and expertise that we in DW Akademie have gathered as a partner of Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in the area of digital transformation," says DW Akademie's Head of Strategy and Consulting Services, Petra Berner. "Via #mediadev we want to discuss topics related to freedom of expression, media development and digital transformation with the professional community, to make sure we're continuously advancing our work."
