The TV report “Dark Past – A School and its Nazi History” was honored with the Bronze World Medal at the New York Festival’s International Film and Television Awards on April 9, 2013. This gripping report by Alexander Feist tells the story of Friedrich Eugens High School in Stuttgart and the fate of its Jewish pupils during the Nazi era. Feist and correspondent Tania Kramer found a Jewish man who had been a pupil at the Stuttgart high school on a kibbutz in Israel. 77 years later, he told them about his appalling experiences there under the Nazis. With more than a thousand entries from 50 countries, the NYF is one of the world’s largest international television competitions.
