Obama arrives in Prague for EU-US Summit

Midway through his eight-day trip Obama will be attending a summit between the United States and the 27-member European Union in Prague on Sunday, April 5.
With North Korea and Iran high on the political agenda Obama plans to deliver what his aides have billed as a major speech on weapons proliferation with the long-term goal to rid the world of nuclear arms.
Speaking during a NATO summit in Strasbourg, France, Obama said he would lay out an agenda to secure the world's loose nuclear materials and halt the spread of illicit weapons.He added that he wanted to offer an agenda "to seek the goal of a world without nuclear weapons".
"Even with the Cold War over, the spread of nuclear weapons or the theft of nuclear material could lead to the extermination of any city on the planet," Obama said.
European leaders were expected to press President Barack Obama on two global issues -- the economic crisis and climate change.
After his address on a square near Prague's medieval castle, he is scheduled to meet with many of the European Union heads of state including Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, who's country holds the EU rotating presidency. The outgoing prime minister who last month lost a confidence vote in the Czech parliament, recently denounced Obama's massive economic stimulus plan as "the road to hell".
