This will also be the release date of the DVD Box Set, which is appearing on the well-known CMajor Entertainment label. C Major has just received the 'Echo Klassik DVD Music Production of the Year' award for 'The Little Mermaid'. The Schumann Box Set will include Christian Berger's music documentary and the concert recordings of all four Schumann symphonies.

'Schumann at Pier2' will be broadcast on DW in the 'In Focus' slot in two parts: on 4 and 11 November 2012. This version of the film comprises two programmes, each of 42 minutes in length. It shows the four symphonies of Robert Schumann from an unusual perspective. The stars of the production are the Estonian-American conductor Paavo Järvi and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. The setting is 'Pier2', a former shipyard building in the port city of Bremen, more usually a venue for rock and pop concerts, but here the location of rehearsals and performances in which Schumann's music audience is presented to an audience largely made up of young people

On 4 November, Arte will show a 52-minute version of the film with the title "Schumann@PIER2 - 3 Schüler 4 Sinfonien". It will include the responses of three Bremen school students as they encounter classical music for the first time in the concerts at Pier2.
