Our beautiful planet

January 6, 2017

Nature gave us pure white, but it also gave us many derivative shades, discernable here as the sheep and their guard dogs settle down to the all important business of eating in the snow.

Reminiscent of a painting by an old master, these shot shows dogs and their fleecey wards settling down to the all important business of eating in the snow. The picture was taken at a place called Pass Creek on the top of the Big Horn Mountains in the US state of Wyoming.

Heike Blunck who sent it in, snapped it while feeding corn to her Rambouillet flock of sheep, and their guardian dogs.
