Potsdam's Imperial Train Station Reopens

German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder and Deutsche Bahn CEO Hartmut Mehdorn on Thursday reopened the historic "Imperial train station" in the city of Potsdam. The train station was originally built in 1909 to serve as a private train stop for the then German emperor, Wilhelm II, who used it to board trains for trips from his nearby palaces. Germany's railway company renovated the building and will now use the station as a training center for executives.
