Passengers board the "River Star," a cruise boat modeled on a Mississippi paddle steamer, in the Baltic Sea resort of Prerow. It takes them on a round trip through the shallow marshy lagoon south of the village, where they can watch the migrating cranes that stop off on the Fischland-Darss Peninsula on their way south in the autumn.
