Prize 2007 – Young Art for Berlin - Arts.21 22.09.2007

Milan TillichOctober 19, 2007

Berlin is a magnet attracting artists from Germany and abroad. But it is often hard to find works by these young artists in Berlin itself. The main venues for contemporary art are located elsewhere. But every two years four international artists living in Germany compete for the "Nationalgalerie Prize for Young Art". The award worth 50,000 euros is one of the most valuable prizes for contemporary art endowed by private donors. Its goal is to increase the visibility of young artists in Germany. In 2007 the prize is being conferred for the fourth time. Arts.21 presents the nominees and picks favourites.
