Still attractive to foreigners?

The economy in Turkey has been booming for the last 10 years, which has had a lot to do with the country's political stability. Some 500 German companies operate in Turkey. The country is no longer seen as a low-wage economy but instead as an attractive free market.

But in light of recent mass protests in Istanbul and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s increasingly authoritarian leadership, German companies are questioning the direction the country is taking.
