Keeping the party afloat

Bavarian raftsman build a new raft from tree trunks every morning for tourists to float down the Isar River. People have been building rafts in Bavaria since at least the 12th century. Rafts used to be a means of transport. Now it's mainly tourists who hitch a ride for leisurely purposes.
